"Remember When”
“Remember
When” was formed as a vocal group in 1961 and was known as the
“Chandlers”.
The group performed 50's and 60's “Doo Wop” and
saw venues from street corners to major regional showplaces.
Now in 2009 the “Oldies” are much more than the
original scope of material. Their song list now goes from the
50's to the 90's. “Remember When” now gives the term “Oldies” a
new twist with class and humor to any venue or group.
“Remember
When” has performed anywhere from small regional venues to
corporate venues and has shared the stage with many national
acts like the Spinners, The 4 Tops, The Capris to name a few.
“Remember
When” wrote and recorded “The Long Black Wall” in 1989 as a
tribute to all veterans on the Vietnam War and is active in
entertainment at major military venues including VA Hospitals
and bases around the country.
The group lineup today is:
DICK VERBECKEN: Lead Singer, 2nd tenor
Dick is the newest member of the group and has
strong background in performance, music theory and when not with
“Remember When” can be found performing as a DJ/KJ at major
corporate events. His humor and wit will put a smile on the face
of many in his presence.
KEN DONMOYER: Lead Singer, 1st tenor
Ken's smooth mellow voice is one of the main
reasons for the success of the group. His easy-going, laid-back
style is a rare and welcome relief from the pounding rock, rap
and hip-hop music of today.
DAVE DONMOYER: Lead Singer, baritone
Dave is the younger brother of Ken and is the
rock of their vocal arrangements He has a uncanny knack for
blending his voice with the other singers. Dave also served with
“5th Special Forces” and is our military connection.
WARREN CASTANEIRA: Lead Singer, tenor
Warren brings his talent to the group after a
long run in the music business working with many national acts
as a player and production person. Warren has toured world-wide.
His smile and humor are always present and his stage performance
will reach out and grab you.
When all the ingredients come together with the
guys, talent and the technologies you have “Remember When”. Yes
they perform the “Oldies”, but today the oldies aren't what they
started out as. Their performance can go from The “Platters” to
The “Temptations” to “Earth Wind and Fire” to current artists
like “Michael Buble”.
The “Remember When” 2010 schedule is filling fast
so if you want to have a great entertainment package, book them
asap and have a great night of music, smiles and excitement the
