Elizabeth
Etters Asmus
Elizabeth Etters Asmus received her formal musical
education as a student of Susann McDonald at the Juilliard School
where she was awarded her Bachelor and Master of Music
degrees. She has been principal harp with the Virginia Opera
Association and the New York Chamber Ensemble, and has been
featured soloist with several groups in the metropolitan New York
and Central Pennsylvania areas.
For several years Elizabeth toured throughout
Europe and the United States as a member of the New York Harp
Ensemble with whom she has also recorded. In addition, she
has extensive experience playing for weddings, receptions, and
dinners for such prestigious guests as Luciano Pavarotti, Jane
Pauley, George Shultz, Diane Sawyer and Ed Koch.
Elizabeth's repertoire includes such diverse
styles as classical, Broadway, standards, Irish, and holiday
music. Currently Elizabeth is principal harp with the
Williamsport and Nittany Valley Symphony Orchestras and keeps a
busy schedule as performer and teacher.
